Here's Elly's kindergarten class...can you find her?!

There's our kitty cat! Ever since I asked Elly what she wanted to be for Halloween, she's wanted to be a Pirate Princess. However, when we put on her costume 5 minutes before we had to leave for her party...she put her fists to her side and yelled, "This is too itchy!" Nothing could convince her to keep on her costume. Fortunately it was just dress up clothes we already had, so she found some cat ears in our dress up bin and we went with the cat. Some black clothes and eyeliner quickly did the trick.

The kids do a parade for the parents to show off their costumes before heading to their individual Halloween parties.

Wasn't ready for Nate quite yet, so just got the back shot. As you can see though, he made a great Clay Matthews! This is what he has been saying he was growing his hair out for. However, I think he's grown a liking for his golden locks and I'm not sure he'll be cutting them anytime soon. His new nickname at school is "Thor". :)

So I've always had the rule that you can't be anything scary...but Mac has wanted to be a vampire for 2 years. Last year we settled with a vampire bat. However, this year after his pleas to be Count Dracula...I figured he could do it as long as he wasn't too scary. He knew exactly how he wanted his costume to be...isn't he smashing?!

One more picture from Elly's Halloween party...

We ended the night with trick-or-treating with our good friends. Our annual tradition to join them at Claire's parent's house where they serve chili from their garage to trick-or-treaters. They're known as the "chili house." We visit, take the kids trick-or-treating around their neighborhood, then visit some more. It was a great time as always. The kids did a show for us...

We came home to a trick. We've gone to our friends house for the past 5-6 years, so our neighbors always play tricks on us since we're not home to pass out candy. Last year, our pumpkins were all over the yard...this year, they wrapped our hose through our front door and railing, so it took about 10 minutes to get into our house. We were giggling at their creativity. I also checked our mail the next morning with our mailbox full of mulch. Our poor mailman...
